Senior Full Stack Engineer

We’re looking for a well versed full stack web engineer to help us build out our application stack focused on improving cybersecurity for thousands of small and medium businesses. We work in React, Typescript, NodeJS, Express, Mongo, Tailwind, and AWS. If you are an experienced developer who enjoys product design and likes to ship, please apply!

You’ll work 100% remotely with other highly experienced and skilled engineers. We’re all engineers here. We disdain meetings, but enjoy chatting to collaborate and execute. As a small team, we make decisions quickly and deploy often.

You’ll be tasked with building end to end. We each take on the full scope of responsibilities for getting a feature or a service built, tested and deployed. Ranging from small updates to the UI, to architectural changes across the full stack, you’ll have the responsibility to own large portions of the application.

You’ll have flexible hours and competitive compensation. Our team is spread out over the US and we are looking to add additional time zones. We also have families we like to see and operate with flexible work schedules. While you’re responsible for your work, we trust you to make decisions on timing and schedule. We will rely on you and will ensure you are compensated satisfactorily.

Key Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in full stack web application development. You’ll own the whole product cycle of features and services you create.

• Highly motivated and natural born problem solver. You're not afraid to blaze a path through obstacles, and are eager to build impactful solutions.
  Comfortable in a small team startup environment. We’re a small, fast moving team where your voice has impact, and we tackle problems quickly.

• Strong Typescript skills. Our stack is nearly all Typescript, this is a must.

• React experience. Since you’ll be responsible for end to end development, you’ll need the skills to work proficiently with building UI. We have strong UI designers on hand to help with mockups of features.

• Security minded. We’re a company focused on security, and we’ll count on you to be as well.

• Proficient English communication. You’ll need to communicate and discuss highly technical requirements with us.

Our Key Technologies

• Frontend - ReactJs, NextJs, Tailwind, Typescript, and WebSockets

• Backend - NodeJS, Typescript, Express, MongoDB, Linux, Bash Scripting, Docker

• Architecture - AWS technologies (S3, SQS, Lambda, Cloudformation or CDK) and generic VPS configuration

• CI/CD - Github Actions

Bonus Qualifications (not required, any of the following would be awesome)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science

• Cybersecurity training, penetration testing experience

• Experience with cybersecurity tools like Nmap, OWASP ZAP, OpenVAS, or SSLyze

• Experience in the application or network security space, penetration testing, etc.

• Having worked for an MSP or MSSP

• Experience working with SOC2 or ISO 27001 compliance

• Strong UI or UX skills

Your responsibilities

• Develop new products and features, end to end, including tooling, prototypes, and new applications

• Deploy, support, and monitor the application across development, and production environments

• Help improve and maintain our existing services

• Identify and sort out bugs for remediation
