Duties (individual Fellows may focus on one or more sets of tasks):

• Build or refresh assigned Canvas courses
• Set up approved tools within Canvas, including Zoom, Panopto, Harmonize, Slack, Sharepoint, and others
• Participate in course design meetings
• Develop training materials for Teaching Fellows
• In partnership with the Library, secure access to required readings and populate the Library Reserves Tool (LRT).
• Assist with developing learning assets for online delivery
• Advise the teaching team on creating accessible course materials
• Support teaching teams before and during delivery, including participating in dry runs, setting up course links, and troubleshooting required technology
• Develop course refresh plans and timelines
• Other duties as assigned

The TLL supports faculty members at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) as they create residential and online learning experiences using a variety of pedagogical and technological approaches. We are seeking several new Online Learning Fellows to help support ongoing course design, development and support of the fully-online Ed.M. degree offered by the School. The Online Learning Fellows will also support the How People Learn course and other offerings within the Foundations curriculum. This effort requires collaborating with Learning Designers, Learning Technologists, faculty-led teaching teams, and core administrative offices to build and support online courses on the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring that all content is accessible for all learners and the course experience runs smoothly online.
The work will be fast-paced, collaborative, detail oriented, and focused on both faculty and student support. Successful candidates will be able to learn new processes and technologies quickly and be interested in a career in learning design or educational technology.
