Broadly, IDA+A disseminates institutional insights to the leaders and decision makers at Purdue, while working in collaboration with campus partners.About the Listening Lab at Purdue UniversityHoused within IDA+A, the Assessment team is home to the Listening Lab at Purdue (Listening Lab). Broadly, the goal of the Listening Lab is to disseminate qualitative findings, offering data-driven insights for policy and programmatic enhancements. The Listening Lab strives to listen, share, and support efforts to improve the Boilermaker experience. At Purdue, the Listening Lab serves as a qualitative hub to develop, test, and implement human-centered research.About the Graduate Professional AssistantshipIDA+A is seeking one Graduate Professional Assistant (aka, Assessment Assistant) for 20 hours per week (0.5 FTE) to assist with the development and work of the Listening Lab. Candidates will conduct interviews, focus groups, observations, an array of qualitative analyses, plus draft and disseminate a variety of reports to inform senior-level decision making across Purdue. The hired individual will report to Margaret “Maggie” Ascolani, Ph.D. - Assessment Coordinator, Qualitative Methods + Analytics. Employment and Compensation InformationStart Date: Tuesday, July 1, 2025Contract Term: This appointment is expected to last throughout the 2025-2026 academic year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance. It is preferred that applicants are expecting to graduate after May 2026.Compensation: The base salary for this position is $26,000. This is half-time (0.5 FTE) appointment (20 hours per week). This opportunity includes medical, vision, and dental coverage, plus tuition and/or fee remission. The actual salary received may be pro-rated based upon the start date. Compensation is funded through Purdue University (i.e. it is not contingent upon current or future soft funding [e.g., grants]).
